Our young author, Saher has penned down a captivating post on our Y4C platform, unveiling the highlights from COP28. Her reflections shine light on the youth-led events and activities that happened during COP28, including highlights from Youth4Climate’s participation at COP28 :blue_heart::green_heart: .

Among others, the post references UNDP’s “On Equal Terms” Checklist . A collaborative effort with 335 youth from 78 countries, this much-needed publication provides a checklist of steps for youth-inclusive policymaking ahead of the 2025 Nationally Determined Contributions.

Elizabeth Gulugulu, Y4C’s author, was present at COP28 in Dubai.

She shared an article with us that delves into the inter-nation negotiations concerning the transition away from fossil fuels following the Global Stocktake on Climate discussions. Her article also highlights the first ever Youth Stocktake Report, presenting exemplary youth engagement from various countries, along with commitments to a Loss and Damage Fund.

Are you prepared to transform your innovative climate solutions into reality?

Whether you missed our first call for solutions earlier this year or applied without success in receiving the funds, the upcoming second call awaits your participation. Get set to engage by enrolling in our Expression of Interest on the Youth4Climate platform. You will receive an email notification once the call for solutions is launched :love_letter:

Among the 1,143 proposals submitted across 4 thematic areas, (Climate Education, Energy, Food & Agriculture and Urban Sustainability), 100 projects were shortlisted.

In collaboration with our partners, participants were provided with technical support through various workshops and one-to-one online sessions with experts during the application and screening phase of the call.

:money_with_wings:50 projects received awards of up to $20,000 each to implement their initiatives :clap::clap:

Your climate solution project could be next in line for recognition next year. :green_heart::dizzy:. Prepare your materials and start crafting your ideas. The next call for solutions will be launched soon.
